Participate in Research

We are doing interviews with both 1) autistic people who have experienced chronic pain and 2) providers who treat chronic pain and have worked with autistic patients. Through these interviews, we hope to learn about how to better support autistic people with chronic pain.

If you are autistic and have experienced chronic pain (either now or in the last 10 years) or are a healthcare provider who treats autistic patients with chronic pain, we invite you to complete a brief interest form to be contacted for this study.  

Total participation time: 2 hours maximum

Compensation: $50 gift card

We are looking for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate in a virtual interview about their experiences with pregnancy care for our research study. 

You may be eligible if you: 

1. You have an intellectual and/or developmental disability and 

2. You were pregnant within the past ten years 

3. You used Medicaid while pregnant 

Participants will receive a $100 Visa gift card. 

If you are interested, we will schedule two Zoom interviews: 

1) a 30 to 45-minute screening interview to see if you can join the study 

2) a 1.5-hour online interview to learn about your pregnancy experience 

The interviews may take more or less time depending on the person. We plan extra time so you can ask questions and go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
